Fire Cupping

Restoring balance through our body’s intelligent healing

An ancient healing massage

Fire cupping has been used for thousands of years and works to stimulate the flow of the body’s blood, qi, and lymph. Fire is placed into a cup to remove the oxygen and create a suction for the cups to gently grab on to the muscle tissue. It often is used to help soothe pain and achy muscles, fluid congestion and for stress relief.

How Fire Cupping Works

Relaxes tight and tense muscles

Stretches fascia and tissue knots

Releases toxins through skin pores

Moves phlegm and fluid retention in lungs

Reduces pain and inflammation

Calms nervous system for stress and anxiety

Stationary

With this technique, cups are placed over the skin and muscle tissue and remain stationary for deep healing over specific area. This is where you will often see the circle bruises left over by the cups.

Moving

With moving cupping, cups are gently glided over the skin using massage oils to provide healing over the entire surface of an area. A combination of both statationary and moving may be used.

Heart Cupping

For extra added fun, heart cups can be used just like regular cupping except it will leave heart shaped marks instead. Request heart cups during your session if you wish to be marked with love.
