Kira Rio is a board certified acupuncturist, herbalist and nutritional consultant specializing in the treatment of chronic pain, sleep issues, hormone balancing and anxiety disorders.
She graduated from the Florida College of Integrative Medicine in 2017 with a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and later pursued postgraduate studies in pain management and emotional disorders.
Kira is a native Floridian who grew up in a household full of pets (a zoo!) which gave her a deep love for animals and learning how to take care of others.
When she graduated high school, Kira started to pursue a career in psychology because she knew she wanted to do something to help others. With her personal struggles during that time dealing with a bad relationship, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, nerve pain, and struggles to find motivation, she started to seek ways to help get her through this very difficult time. This lead her to discovering meditation, mindset and natural medicine that helped her find happiness and get on positive track of life.
Because of this, she started to learn about the mind-body connection and how there are many healing tools and therapies out there that can help those who are struggling. This is where she began her studies in acupuncture and holistic medicine and she knew right away that this was the right path for her, to help teach, treat and guide others to find hope and find that happy path to life again.
Kira’s mission and purpose is to bring relief to her patients suffering with chronic pain, insomnia and mood issues – which are often linked.
She sees the body as the most intelligent reflection of healing wisdom ever created and her goal is to help every single person she works with to reconnect with that inner healing wisdom to not only live a life with less (or no) pain, but a life of meaning and joy.
